It was a lousy day today. We were supposed to leave Ft. Fisher to start heading north, but bleh.

We woke up to rain, which then turned to heat, which brought out the midges and mosquitoes, which combined made me want to sit in the tent in front of the A/C all day and watch movies rather than put away a wet tent amongst other stuff.

On the bright side, I finally received my new debit card. Hooray! Now I just have to find some place to get a new ID. Camp Lejeune isn’t too far away and it’s on our way up the coast, so it looks like we’ll be heading there next. Plus, they have a family camp on the beach. Sounds like a good place to stop to me.
